The project was submitted to the competition of the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture.

This is the first time in the Academy's history that it has managed such a complex consortium consisting of 14 partners from eight countries.

Bojan Prlinčević, head of the Department of Information and Communication Technology at the Academy, said that the goal of the project is to modernize study programs of higher education in the countries of the Western Balkans.

"The European Union wants this region to progress in accordance with the regulations they passed in previous years. In the last regulation from 2022, they insist that the energy sector be digitized throughout Europe. We wrote the proposal, with the help of colleagues and partners, and our goal is to introduce new competences in the energy sector. We are not all from the field of energy, but that is exactly why we will have a synergy in the end, so that our students will be able to directly join the economy with competences that are important for the region and for the citizens, especially now that forces the Open Balkans," Prlinčević said.

Slobodan Lubura, full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo and coordinator of the project, is in Kosovo for the first time and is very pleased because this project will bring many benefits.

"The Faculty of Electrical Engineering in East Sarajevo is dynamically changing its curricula, one of the main goals of which is the implementation of a new innovative and educational program in the field of power engineering. All these events in the power industry change every year, and in addition to the equipment that will cost us around 30,000 euros, In addition to equipping a laboratory for renewable energy sources and connecting power converters, we will establish another new laboratory that will deal with new trends in power systems," said Lubura.

Everything will be more than good," said Prenc.
