Representatives of the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of East Sarajevo, prof. dr. Danijel Mijić and asst. prof. Nenad Marković attended in Maribor (Slovenia) the initial meeting of the Erasmus+ project entitled "SMART Innovation Centers for the Development of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Thinking to Facilitate the Development of Sustainable Smart Solutions in the Western Balkans". The meeting was attended by the following project partners:

The University of East Sarajevo is one of the higher education institutions from the Western Balkans that will actively participate in all work activities, and will be the leader of work package 4.

At the meeting, project partners were introduced, obligations and responsibilities, both legal and financial, were appointed, staff were appointed to the project consortium and the committee for quality control and ethics, work packages with activities and outcomes per work packages were presented in detail.

Examples of good practice were presented, such as the Slovenian State Strategy for Sustainable Smart Specialization 2030, the Network for the Transition to a Circular Economy, the Smart Strategy of the City of Maribor 2030, and the Effective Implementation of "Smart and Green" Solutions from Industry.
