Today, the representatives of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, dean prof. Božidar Popović and vice dean for teaching prof. Srđan Lale, were at a working meeting with representatives of the National Gunma University in Maebashi, the capital of Gunma Prefecture in Japan. On behalf of the Gunma University, the vice-rector prof. Hideyuki Itabashi and managers of the Department of Electronics and Informatics spoke with our representatives. The visit was organized thanks to the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Japan, with the attendance of Ambassador Siniša Berjan. On this occasion, it was agreed to sign the cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Gunma University. This agreement will be implemented by the end of February 2023, after the finalization of administrative procedures. Various directions of cooperation were discussed, such as the exchange of students and academic staff, joint project applications, and the definition of a framework for scientific cooperation and support for the international visibility of the Infoteh Jahorina Symposium. Our representatives also visited laboratories for artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
