The dean of the ETF of the University of East Sarajevo, Božidar Popović, told reporters that the Faculty has a young team with its own staff and that it represents a serious scientific institution.

"A large number of state universities from the surrounding area and the EU choose us as partners and work with us on projects, because we have responsible professors who can respond to any task and challenge," said Popović after the presentation of the valuable equipment.

The vice dean for teaching at ETF, Srđan Lale, pointed out that the equipment was provided as part of the international European "Erasmus plus" project "Kalcea", in which this faculty participates as a member of the University of East Sarajevo.

He noted that this is a multidisciplinary team of researchers from several countries participating in the project.

Lale said that the equipment was fully financed from the project fund, which is 60,000 BAM

He clarified that the equipment is provided in two parts - one part includes 10 latest computers, "smart" televisions, drones, cameras, printers, as well as other IT equipment, the value of which is 35,000 BAM.

"About 25,000 BAM is the value of laboratory equipment that will be used for renewable energy sources. These are solar panels, various power electronics converters, batteries and very high-quality and expensive instruments that we would have difficulty buying with our own funds. These are devices for measuring the quality of electricity that we can use for commercial purposes in cooperation with the subsidiaries of Elektriprivreda", said Lale.

Marko Ikić, senior assistant at the ETF of the University of East Sarajevo, said that the equipment is partially intended for scientific research work and for students in their third and fourth year of study.

"We have also provided acquisition cards that will serve us as researchers to further improve our work," said Ikić, who is a member of the research team of this international project.
