As part of a two-day professional excursion, professors and students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo visited the Trebinje 1 Hydroelectric Power Plant today.

Executive directors Ilija Tamindžija and Milan Mitrović welcomed the professors and students of the third and fourth year.

"The management of 'Hydroelectric Power Plant on Trebišnjica' is open to cooperation with the academic community. Until now, we have implemented many important projects with numerous faculties from the country and abroad. It is always a pleasure for us to host young people from technical faculties, who will be our colleagues in the future. Today, in the conversation with our engineers, they had the opportunity to apply a part of their theoretical knowledge in practice and to fully get to know the operation of the Trebinje 1 Hydroelectric Power Plant," said Ilija Tamindžija, executive director for production and technical affairs.

Milan Mitrović, executive director for system management, greeted the students and professors and pointed out that he is glad that this beautiful cooperation continues.

"Every two years, students and professors from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from East Sarajevo come to us for a professional visit. Yesterday they got acquainted with the operation of the "Gacko" Thermal Power Plant, and today with the operation of our hydroelectric plant, and now future mechanical and electrical engineers can compare all the similarities and differences of these two energy giants. This visit is just one in a series of visits by elementary school students, high school students, and students, which took place in the previous month. And that will continue in the future," added Milan Mitrović, executive director for system management.

In the multi-hour, very detailed tour of the "Grančarevo" dam, the students did not hide their enthusiasm and used this opportunity to ask numerous questions, and our colleagues: Lazar Mrkonja, B.Sc. Eng. mechanical engineering and Milorad Mitrović, Vaso Božić and Marko Kujundžić, B.Sc. the electrical engineers proved to be excellent hosts. In addition to exceptional hospitality, they also showed a high level of expertise and professionalism.
