The Dean of the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of East Sarajevo, Božidar Popović, hosted a reception for 64 freshmen today on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year.

Popović pointed out that they are satisfied with the number of enrolled students, and that the professors of this faculty will impart knowledge to freshmen that will contribute to the development of their interests and improve existing knowledge.

- We want our students to get knowledge that will be useful to them in the future in finding and performing their first jobs - he said.

Popović added that in the coming period, we should work on the development and improvement of electrotechnical professions in the Republic of Srpska and thus increase the need for students who graduate from electrotechnical faculties.

Freshman Marija Dorić, who came to East Sarajevo from Vlasenica, has high expectations for studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

- I had the opportunity to attend preparatory classes at this faculty and I realized how promising this faculty is for the future of students who want to build a great career - pointed out Dorić.

Teodora Ikonić, a freshman from East Sarajevo, expressed her satisfaction at enrolling in this faculty, emphasizing that the electrical engineering faculty offers the greatest perspective for employment throughout the region.

- Bearing in mind the advantages offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, I am ready to give my best during my studies - said Ikonić.
